Tasting Experiences

What's Involved

A whisk(e)y tasting can seem like an intimidating experience initially as there are thoughts and beliefs of judgement or brow beating, but we can assure you, that's not how it is with us.  Whether you need us to do the tastings in person, online, or in store, we have the right combination of experience and knowledge to make your event memorable.

We have two modes of doing our tastings, one is technology supported and another is the classic lecture style of a guide leading you through the forest.

Current Service Area is the Greater Edmonton Area.

Other Alberta areas - Restrictions and Fees Apply.

Experiences

Technology
Supported

This method of presentation for the whisk(e)y gives you the best of everything: Education, Entertainment, Imagery, and more.  Our team has a series of custom made presentations that will help guide and inform as you go through the journey.  The advantages of this style is that it allows everyone to follow along at a set pace that doesn't rush or stall, and allows us to provide more information through imagery.

What's required?  A TV of 50" or larger with an HDMI port, sufficient seating or space for you and your guests.

Traditional
Experience

This method is the traditional experience, where our professional (and halarious) guides will walk you through the experiences and describe to you the process, the tasting, and offer a bit of entertainment just the same.

What's required? Sufficient space for you and your guests.

Tasting Pro Tips

  • Make sure to start your tasting with a beer or cocktail.  This takes the edge off of the higher proof alcohols you're about to introduce to your mouth.

  • Have food.  Breads, chocolates, sharp cheeses, and meats are all great pairings with your whisk(e)y tasting!  (Ask us for recommendations)

  • Cigar's and Tabacco can offer great pairings for strong flavored whisk(e)y! (Ask us for recommendations)

  • Have at least 1 full meal during the day before the tasting, drinking high proof on an empty stomach is not recommended.

  • Make sure everyone gets home safe!  Designated drivers or Uber!
